Prof. Kolawole Oyedeji
Kolawole Oyedeji is an Associate Professor of Medical Microbiology with the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos. He has his background in Medical Microbiology, Medical laboratory science, Molecular Biology and Bioethics/Health Research ethics. He is a World Health Organization (WHO) accredited trainer in Project planning and evaluation. He has also been trained by MEASURE EVALUATION in monitoring and evaluation of Public health programmes.
His research interest is on the epidemiology of infectious diseases of Public Health importance. Oyedeji has been an awardee of some grants and fellowships amongst which are DAAD, UNESCO, SARETI fellowships and European and Developing Countries Clinical Trial Partnership Ethics grant.
He is the National coordinator/secretary of the Bioethics Society of Nigeria, currently the Vice Chairman- College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Health Research Ethics Committee having served on Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) ethics Board for over 10years,
He was formerly a Board Member of Lagos State Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA), Chairman, Initiative for Medical Diagnostic Awareness (IMDA).
