Theme: “Navigating Tomorrow: Accelerating Strategies for Healthcare Transformation”
Scheduled for June 21, 2024, the award will take place at The Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, theme aligns with Nigeria’s healthcare transformation plan, spotlighting and recognizing stakeholders, facilities, and organizations that have significantly contributed to the healthcare sector.
A health communication and advocacy organization, Nigeria Health Watch is partnering with the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award, NHEA, to host a groundbreaking initiative: the “Prevent Epidemics Journalism Award”.
The new category in NHEA celebrates outstanding media reportage on epidemic preparedness and response across radio, print, and television.
Speaking, the Nigeria Health Watch Managing Director, Vivianne Ihekweazu explained that the ‘Prevent Epidemics Journalism Awards’ was designed to recognize journalists that raise awareness among public and policymakers on the importance of funding epidemic preparedness and response.
