The award is open for companies, organizations and individuals who must have a consistent history of contribution (meant for an entire body of work, not just a single achievement) over and above the call of duty. Through their career and the organisation’s history their impact, inputs and investments must have led to the development of the health sector.

LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

The award is open to individuals who:

  • Must have contributed throughout their life time to the development of the health sector.
  • Must be above 65 years of age.
  • Must have a consistent history of contribution (meant for an entire body of work, not just a single achievement) over and above the call of duty throughout their career.
  • Must have an exceptional contribution to the profession and development of medicine and its science in Nigeria.
  • A significant impact being made on Regulatory Affairs and policy formulation in the healthcare sector.

 

Criteria

    • Consistency.

How has the individual made a consistent contribution to the profession, not just in performing their job function but over and above the expected call of duty?

    • Quality.

Demonstrate how the contribution over the career of the individual has been of truly high quality which has enhanced the practice of medicine and its allied field in general

    • Achievements.

Catalogue the achievements of the individual throughout their career as completely as possible.
Indicate any that were part of their employment if significant but stress those that were above and beyond the remit of that role.

    • Contribution.

Explain the nature and extent of contribution to the profession as a whole.

    • Impact.

Detail the impact of the achievements of this individual that have had a reach or longevity greater than would be expected?

OUTSTANDING HEALTHCARE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION OF THE YEAR

Open to banks and financial institution that are currently operating in Nigeria.

Criteria

The award is given to financial institution that have created an inclusive business model that has led to the creation of sustainable, commercially-successful healthcare business entities that has expanded the access to healthcare service delivery in Nigeria.

HEALTHCARE MEDIA EXCELLENCE AWARD- PRINT

Open to media organizations in Nigeria. We have the PRINT subcategory for this award.

Criteria

    • IMPACT

The stories, publications, adverts, shows and programmes must have had meaningful impact on the people.

    • SUSTAINABILITY.

Must have an inbuilt mechanism of sustaining itself.

    • REPLICABLE.

Must be replicable in most geo political zones removing all other unseen factors.

    • Devoid of any political slant or undertone.

HEALTHCARE MEDIA EXCELLENCE AWARD- ONLINE

Open to media organizations in Nigeria. We have the ONLINE subcategory for this award.

Criteria

    • IMPACT

STATE GOVERNMENT HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME OF THE YEAR

The award is open to:

  • State Governments and the federal capital territory of the federal republic of Nigeria.
  • The program must be seen to be committed to the triad of Universal health.
  • Coverage via reducing the amount of out-of-pocket spending, increasing the nature of covered cases and the total number of the population covered.

 

Criteria

  • The number of new enrollees or percentage increase of new enrollees annually.
  • New health financing packages and models.
  • Geographic spread of enrollees within the state.
  • Percentage number of citizens registered with the state health insurance program.
  • State with automated health insurance platform for access & management.

NIGERIA HEALTH WATCH PREVENT EPIDEMICS JOURNALISM AWARD

Criteria

Any nominated article or show were at least in one of the following categories:

  • Epidemic Preparedness and Response to disease outbreaks in Nigeria.
  • Community Awareness: improve community awareness on infectious diseases while itemizing roles of citizens and actors in epidemic preparedness and response.
  • Budget and Funding: Stories that reflect the amount of funding available for health/epidemic preparedness and response, funding gaps and appropriate next steps.

Length of submission:

  • Written articles of minimum of 650 words in length published in print format/platform

 

Online News:
Length of submission:

  • Written articles of minimum of 650 words, videos of a minimum of 1 minute 30 seconds in length published on online media platform

 

C. Radio:
Length of submission:

  • Radio show – 5 minutes or longer

 

D. Television:
Length of submission:

  • TV show/Media Report – 3 minutes or longer
