The award is open to individuals who:

  • Must have contributed throughout their life time to the development of the health sector.
  • Must be above 65 years of age.
  • Must have a consistent history of contribution (meant for an entire body of work, not just a single achievement) over and above the call of duty throughout their career.
  • Must have an exceptional contribution to the profession and development of medicine and its science in Nigeria.
  • A significant impact being made on Regulatory Affairs and policy formulation in the healthcare sector.

 

Criteria

    • Consistency.

How has the individual made a consistent contribution to the profession, not just in performing their job function but over and above the expected call of duty?

    • Quality.

Demonstrate how the contribution over the career of the individual has been of truly high quality which has enhanced the practice of medicine and its allied field in general

    • Achievements.

Catalogue the achievements of the individual throughout their career as completely as possible.
Indicate any that were part of their employment if significant but stress those that were above and beyond the remit of that role.

    • Contribution.

Explain the nature and extent of contribution to the profession as a whole.

    • Impact.

Detail the impact of the achievements of this individual that have had a reach or longevity greater than would be expected?

MOST RESPONSIVE COVID - TESTING COMPANY OF THE YEAR

The award is open to :

  • Organizations accredited by the NCDC and the relevant state regulatory bodies for the collection, processing and testing of covid 19.
  • Organizations who meet “criteria 1 above and are operating within the Nigerian health care ecosystem.
  • Organizations who fulfil “criteria 1 above and must have been operating for over 12 months.

 

Criteria

This is focused on their level of expertise and professionalism in the areas of:

  • Sample collection and logistics
  • Testing
  • Support for contact tracing
  • Innovative Data management and information sharing system.
  • Turn around time on test results.
  • Should be on the NCDC Top 10 testing lab from July 2021 – March 2022.

MOST OUTSTANDING GENOMIC LABORATORY OF THE YEAR

The award is open to :

  • Organizations accredited by the NCDC and the relevant state regulatory bodies for the collection, processing and testing of genomic samples.
  • Organizations who fulfill “criteria 1” above and are operating within the Nigerian health care diagnostic ecosystem.
  • Organizations who fulfill “criteria 1” above and must have been operating for over 12 months.

 

Criteria

  • Documents that clearly show the service level agreements, non-disclosure clauses, informed consent, confidentiality and patient’s rights (NDPR Compliant).
  • Information privacy and data sharing follows the data privacy and protection policy.
  • Internationally recognized standards, guidelines and accreditation.
  • Provision of accredited or standard framework for legal, ethical, and professional practice of molecular genetic testing.
  • Provide number/percentage of molecular genetic testing delivered within the national healthcare framework space.

MOST OUTSTANDING COVID-19 CONSUMABLES MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR (INDIGENOUS)

The award is open to :

  • Organizations accredited by the NCDC/NAFDAC and the relevant state regulatory bodies for the production of PPEs, Masks, Sterile gloves etc.
  • Organizations who fulfil “criteria 1 above and are operating within the Nigerian health care ecosystem or business space.
  • Organizations who fulfil “criteria 1 above and must have been operating for over 12 months.

 

Criteria

  • Quality accreditation and standardization.
  • Innovativeness and use of technology.
  • Daily production capacity.
  • Logistics spread and distribution network.
  • International accreditation.
  • Distribution capacity within the State.

STATE WITH THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF COVID-19 VACCINATED PERSONS

The award is open to :

  • State Governments and the federal capital territory of the federal republic of Nigeria

Criteria

  • Logistic spread and distribution capacity within the state.
  • Percentage number of persons with the completed mandatory dose within the state based on NPHCDA.
  • Percentage number with the booster doses based on NCDC data.
